Leaders and Visionaries of Fashion Design and Creativity
The Las Vegas Fashion Design Council is a nonprofit 501-C3 organization established to create a local fashion industry and grow industry awareness, encouraging the creation of manufacturing capabilities for local designers. We also help and assist local Las Vegas designers who can't afford to promote themselves.
The LVFDC is not affiliated with any other fashion events in the City of Las Vegas. We follow the protocol of the international Fashion etiquette as well as the American Fashion Industry. We have board of Directors as well as Advisory board of directors that makes all the decisions for LVFDC.
Fashion Fridays was developed to allow Las Vegas designers to showcase their work on an actual runway with volunteer models, hair and makeup people to help create the "look" of the designers’ presentations. Then, it is presented to the community of growing arists, designers, investors and socialites. It is also a way to see their progress as well as helping them in their creative growth.
We are supported by the Mayor's office and the City Council. Our founder, designer David Tupaz was also appointed to sit in the board of the Arts Commission of the City of Las Vegas by Mayor Carolyn Goodman until 2018.
***The event Fashion Week Las Vegas has no association with our council. Though it is claimed that the producer has approached the Council in the last 4 years for a joint venture or to partner is not true. There were no formal requests, letter of intent, proposals, emails, etc. About this ; We also did not reach out to assist in their cancelled event.***
